Recycling is not a new concept. It is an act that has been preached to us since grade school. Yet plastic bottles still remain, and their numbers are not decreasing. Why is that? Despite our 'best efforts' we still have excess amounts of plastic, which is destroying our planet. Our lack of understanding about plastic water bottles, their effects and how they are being processed, correlates to lack of change we are seeing within our societies, and this is a leading reason to our dependency on plastic bottles. Here, I will discuss actions that need to be taken in regards to plastic waste, provide a general understanding of the effects of water bottles and attempt to rally support.
In other words, it's our planet, so why not keep it clean?
